Sustainability in the textile industry: it’s possible!
Eco Design is the process of design and development of a garment or fabric created following a strategy to minimize environmental impact. The fabrics that are produced according to this logic are composed of elements able to facilitate the recycling process and decrease the chemical components dispersed in the territory.
Eco Design means creating a product while taking care of the territory. It means having a vision free from the logic of fast fashion and based on the idea of designing products that last over time, maintaining their quality even using recycled materials.
At Emmetex we give ample space to Eco Design in the production of our fabrics. We’re moving in a more sustainable and ecological direction in order to respect the environment that surrounds us while maintaining high quality standards. Specifically, the use of recycled wool in the production of many of our fabrics allows us to give a new life to waste materials that otherwise would become waste.
We extend the life of garments and fabrics, reducing their environmental impact by 30%.
A new life for waste fabrics
According to our working approach, we personally select materials and carefully study the components. Our aim is therefore to pursue a circular economy model.
For this reason, our production of recycled wool fabrics consists of a wide range of proposals and in particular of our Coats and Flannels of regenerated carded wool both in shuttle fabric and in jersey.
Producing consciously brings advantages not only from an environmental point of view but also on the profit side. In fact, preferring natural products makes it possible to reduce the manufacturing process.
This will allow the fabric to maintain the properties of the fibers over time and will make the end consumer more satisfied for having purchased a practically indestructible product.
